Dora Nordic facilitates CO2 reporting for climate-conscious hauliers

From 2024, larger companies in the EU will be obliged to report on ESG conditions throughout their value chain to increase transparency in the market. That's why the innovative team behind Dora Nordic is ready with a digital solution that does away with handwritten worksheets and makes it easy for hauliers to share and calculate their carbon data. This way, companies can easily collect data from their subcontractors and meet the new climate requirements that are just around the corner.

Dora Nordic's unique entrepreneurial journey began when Rikke Høyer, in her previous role as a dispatcher, experienced some of the challenges faced by the transport sector, such as CO2 reporting. With this insight, she began working with her sister Sidsel Høyer to develop Dora Nordic, a Transport Managing System (TMS) that helps hauliers and freight forwarders manage climate reporting and route planning, among other things. Since then, the climate-conscious tech company has gone from strength to strength.

Today, they are based at INCUBA Navitas, where they have been part of the INCUBA ecosystem since 1 July 2023. Rikke Høyer, who currently fulfils the role of CCO, says about the company's new base in INCUBA:

"Firstly, it's a great environment to work in. The location is good and everything is very easy. In a company like ours, we are on the move a lot, so it has been important that we have been able to be part of an environment where you can be few in the office, but still be surrounded by people. There's a life in INCUBA, which is an important side benefit for people like us."

However, it's not just the physical environment that makes INCUBA the ideal base for Dora Nordic. The company also appreciates the many exciting networking events INCUBA organises every year.

"When I'm in the field so much, it's pretty amazing that you can suddenly come to an event where there are other people in the same situation. You don't necessarily meet these people otherwise because it's this type of industry. Tech and transport don't always go hand in hand, so it's great to meet someone from the startup community who might know about the challenges we also face," Rikke concludes.

Looking at Dora Nordic's future plans, there is also a bright picture full of opportunities for the company - both domestically and internationally. In Denmark, the company has already achieved product market fit and will therefore continue with its current activities. In addition, the company is actively looking to expand Dora Nordic to other geographical markets. The European scene holds significant potential for the transport sector's highly international industry.
