INCUBA establishes new collaboration with business angel Poul Carstensen, winner of the INCUBA Award 2021 as 'Investor of the Year'

41-year-old Poul Carstensen will as Strategic Advisor take care of INCUBA StartupLab - an accelerator program for startups within IT/tech, cleantech and life science.

INCUBA is strengthening the organization with a Strategic Advisor who will help run and further develop INCUBA StartupLab, the mentor team, and the Aarhus Investor Summit.

To take on the task, INCUBA has brought in the experienced business angel Poul Carstensen, who has joined the collaboration as of May 2, 2022. Poul Carstensen has been an investor and strategic advisor for more than 10 years, primarily within tech and life science, and is himself a former entrepreneur. He is active in the Danish business community and the startup environment through board work, management consulting and as an investor.

- I am convinced that Poul, with his extensive experience, network and strategic insight, can contribute to the efficient operation and further development of INCUBA StartupLab, in order to continue to make a difference for business development in startups and at the same time cement INCUBA's place in the business and innovation landscape, says Ann Marie Søborg Karkov, Director of Communications, Community & Acceleration.

Poul Carstensen brings a wealth of experience from his own time as an entrepreneur and investor, for which he received the INCUBA Award 2021. He received the "Investor of the Year" award for his tremendous work and tireless commitment as an active investor in his portfolio companies and the startup community in general, while creating results in the form of growth and exits.

- I have a big heart for both Aarhus and the Aarhus startup community. It is my ambition to make a difference for the startup community and bring Aarhus up to the level the city deserves to be at when it comes to entrepreneurship. This can succeed in INCUBA, which is the perfect platform to unite academia, business and funding, says Poul Carstensen, Strategic Advisor at INCUBA.
