INCUBA companies gain great value from collaboration with Aarhus University
For three decades, INCUBA has worked hard to create the best possible framework for research-based spinouts and collaborations between business and academia. This link helps ensure that new ideas and research results are quickly utilised in companies.
Among the companies that benefit from the proximity to Aarhus University is Teitur Trophics. CEO Simon Mølgaard puts the collaboration into words:
‘Our partnership with Aarhus University gives us access to advanced research facilities and leading experts that support our work to develop innovative solutions and accelerate our programmes. By bridging the gap between basic research and clinical application, we ultimately benefit patients.’

STMicroelectronics also emphasises the close ties to the university as a crucial factor for their continued development. The company, which works with electronics and software development, participates in both bachelor's and master's projects and offers internships - also abroad - as well as teaching C++ programming at Aarhus University:
‘Our primary purpose with the AU collaboration is to spot and attract talent, but concrete research knowledge is also important to us. It helps us grow our Danish department, to the great benefit of both ST and the Aarhus tech community. We hope to expand the collaboration further within chip design, motor control and digital power,’ says Jørgen Mygind, Site Manager at STMicroelectronics.

INCUBA and Aarhus University both see great benefits in standing shoulder to shoulder when it comes to translating knowledge into value for society. Collaborations such as those with Teitur Trophics and STMicroelectronics are concrete proof of how research institutions and companies can create new knowledge, innovation and growth together.
The close connection to the university not only provides access to highly specialised research and facilities, but also ensures a continuous recruitment of students and graduates who can contribute the latest knowledge and fresh perspectives. The result is a solid foundation for research-driven innovation and business development that benefits both individual companies and the entire ecosystem in Aarhus.
‘We have many offers for the business community at Aarhus University because we cover so many disciplines. Companies like those in Incuba not only get access to the latest research, but also to the labour of the future. Together with Incuba, which is our close partner, we would like to expand our collaboration so that even more companies, researchers and students at Aarhus University can benefit from it,’ says Lone Ryg Olsen, Business Director at the university.
