From one desk at INCUBA to an international acquisition: GameScorekeeper sold to Oddin.gg

One of INCUBA’s great startup stories has reached an important new milestone. GameScorekeeper – which began its journey in INCUBA in 2016 with just a single desk – has been acquired by the global esports betting company Oddin.gg.

The acquisition marks a major step for the company and highlights a key truth about many startup journeys: growth isn’t only about scaling independently. It can also mean selling, joining forces, and expanding through strong international partnerships.

Esports Data from Aarhus Goes Global

Since the beginning, GameScorekeeper has had a clear mission: to make esports data accessible and actionable for businesses. With an extensive archive of standardized historical data across more than ten esports titles, the company has built a solid reputation in an industry where precision, data quality, and speed are essential.

It is precisely this specialized expertise that has led Oddin.gg – one of the world’s leading providers of esports betting infrastructure – to integrate GameScorekeeper into its global setup.

“Esports is entering a new phase where reliability and deep domain expertise matter more than ever. GameScorekeeper has built a strong reputation for high-quality data, and their founder mindset aligns perfectly with ours,” says Vlasta Venclik, co-founder and CEO of Oddin.gg.

Founder Mindset and Global Perspective

For GameScorekeeper’s founder & CEO, Felix Klastrup, the acquisition is the culmination of nearly a decade of development:

“Since 2016, our mission has been to make esports data both accessible and useful. Becoming part of Oddin.gg allows us to combine our depth of data, widgets, and domain expertise with a partner that has global infrastructure. It enables us to support our clients even better and contribute to driving the next wave of esports innovation,” he says.

Going forward, Oddin.gg will integrate GameScorekeeper’s capabilities into a unified system covering the entire value chain within esports betting – from data ingestion and normalization to analytics, odds creation, and fully managed betting experiences.

A Strong INCUBA Journey

GameScorekeeper is yet another example of how companies in the INCUBA community can grow from early-stage startups into international players. The journey from a single desk to a global acquisition demonstrates the strength of combining talent, focus, and close ties to the tech and data environment in Aarhus.

The acquisition also sends a strong signal to the wider ecosystem: that knowledge-intensive startups from Aarhus can shape global markets – and that part of the growth journey may be becoming part of something bigger.
