Delphinus Venture Capital establishes itself in INCUBA – strengthening the connection between innovation, capital and entrepreneurship

A new powerhouse for investment in knowledge-intensive start-ups has moved into INCUBA. The newly established venture fund Delphinus Venture Capital has raised DKK 600 million with the ambition of following companies all the way – from the first tentative ideas to international scaling.

The fund was established by Aarhus University Research Foundation, HEARTLAND, Norlys and Salling Group, and has chosen to base itself at INCUBA in order to be close to the East Jutland innovation environment and the research-driven companies that originate from Aarhus University, Aarhus University Hospital and other strong knowledge environments in the region.

Mathias Brink Lorenz, director of Delphinus Venture Capital, sees great opportunities in having the fund's daily operations in the middle of INCUBA's environment:

"At INCUBA, innovation, capital and entrepreneurship come together in one environment, providing direct and valuable contact with start-ups and researchers. Here, we are close to visionary entrepreneurs, researchers and technology-driven companies that are developing the solutions of the future. It is the ideal place for us to be, because we can create direct connections between ambitious founders and the capital that can help them scale their ideas into global solutions."

With Delphinus Venture Capital on board, INCUBA's position as a hub representing the entire value chain – from research and development to investment and growth – is strengthened.

Jacob Doktor Mogensen, CEO of INCUBA, is delighted with the collaboration:

"Delphinus Venture Capital's decision to establish itself at INCUBA underscores our role as the community where visionary entrepreneurs find the best conditions for developing and scaling their ideas. When capital and expertise are close to the start-ups working here, optimal conditions are created for ideas to become viable businesses with global potential."

The establishment of Delphinus Venture Capital will be marked with a reception on Tuesday, 17 September at INCUBA Katrinebjerg, where investors, entrepreneurs and partners are invited to celebrate the start of a new chapter for the East Jutland startup ecosystem.
