Jacob Doktor Mogensen is the new CEO of INCUBA

With over 15 years of experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, Jacob Doktor Mogensen has established himself as a significant figure in the Danish business ecosystem. Having been responsible for Acceleration & Investor Relations and then Community & Communications since January 2024, he will now take on the role of CEO as of 15 October 2024.

For the past five years, Jacob has been deeply involved in entrepreneurship, incubation and acceleration at INCUBA, Food & Bio Cluster Denmark and Agro Business Park. Since joining INCUBA earlier this year, he has contributed significantly to strengthening the organisation's role in the startup and investor landscape as well as to the collaboration with clusters and business promotion actors. Most recently, Jacob played a key role in the organisation of Aarhus Investor Summit 2024, which was a great success with more than 200 participating investors and startups from both Denmark and abroad.

Peter Kjær, Chairman of the Board of INCUBA and representative from Schouw & Co. says:

‘We have had a very good recruitment process where we received many qualified applications. After interviews, personal profile tests and case questions, the hiring committee agreed that Jacob Doktor Mogensen was the strongest candidate. ‘With the choice of Jacob, we are signalling that we prioritise community activities and profile-building work. We look forward to seeing Jacob further develop INCUBA in the coming years.’

Jacob Doktor Mogensen himself says about his appointment:

‘I am incredibly happy and proud to have been given the opportunity as CEO of INCUBA. I didn't see it coming when I started on 1 January, but new opportunities arose that I just couldn't pass up. I see INCUBA as a unique place for innovation and growth, and I am extremely happy and proud to be allowed to lead the organisation together with the talented team we have at INCUBA. I look forward to working with the team to make INCUBA an even better place for the development of spinouts, startups, and scaelups and thereby contribute to even more knowledge from the university being translated into companies and more knowledge-intensive jobs being created.’
