INCUBA 'Startup of the Year 2021' Ento Labs receives a large capital injection of DKK 25 million. DKK

The Aarhus-based cleanteach startup Ento Labs, which in 2021 won the INCUBA prize for 'Startup of the Year', will cut up to 30% of its customers' energy consumption - now with a capital injection of DKK 25 million. DKK in the back.

Ento Labs has secured a 25 million kroner large investment from a number of investors, i.a. from the two venture funds by Founders and Voyager as well as a number of angel investors.

Ento Labs has developed a virtual energy advisor that uses artificial intelligence to quickly identify and prioritize energy savings in buildings based on consumption data. The technology is already used in more than 6,000 buildings.

“Just under 30% of global CO2 emissions come from building operations, and 10-30% of the energy used in buildings is simply wasted. It is an overlooked problem in the whole discussion about the green transition, but we see a huge potential, which we have set out to do something about," says Henrik Brink, CEO and founder of Ento Labs.

So even if society's vision is to go to zero with completely CO2-neutral buildings, until then there is a lot of low-hanging fruit to be harvested in terms of energy saving: "With some very simple settings, you can easily, quickly and cheaply optimize energy consumption," says Henrik Brink.

Intelligent software analyzes and suggests savings on energy consumption

Ento Labs has created an intelligent software platform which, by monitoring and analyzing consumption data, helps building owners reduce their energy consumption. In the past, companies were forced to order energy consultants at a high hourly rate and then perhaps additionally install new hardware in order to find savings in energy consumption.

"With our platform, building owners can instead automate the entire process and through software and algorithms make it much faster and more efficient to understand where to put in," says Henrik Brink, and elaborates: "It can be anything from setting ventilation systems for the optimization of various heating and cooling systems.”

Although Ento Labs is a startup with a few years behind it, they already serve 6,000 buildings on its platform, which consists of municipalities, regions, industrial companies, banks and retail chains, among others. The success has not gone unnoticed, which has also resulted in an investment of DKK 25 million. DKK. It must be used to ensure that the company grows further.

INCUBA provided a professional framework and invaluable network right from the start

For a startup like Ento Labs, INCUBA was a good place to start. "We have met with larger companies right from the start, and it was first and foremost important for us to be able to invite them to a professional setting," says Henrik Brink.

But especially the community with the other companies and the professional network in INCUBA has also been important for Ento Labs. "We have made great use of both social and professional events in INCUBA, such as The Erfa groups, which have contributed a lot to our business development," says Henrik Brink and adds:

"It has also been a good set-up for us to be close to the university and students here in INCUBA. We have done several collaborations and projects together. Finally, we won the INCUBA award for 'Startup of the Year 2021', which gave us a lot of good attention. It was a big pat on the back and it gave us a feeling that others also believed in us and saw the potential.”
