StreamWerk raises capital through the network in INCUBA Next Level
StreamWerk is based in the Founder Hub at INCUBA Next Level, while both EIFO and SoundInvest are members of the Investor Hub. Although the relationships were not built overnight, the close proximity and the many interactions in everyday life have helped strengthen the dialogue and create a stronger foundation for collaboration.
StreamWerk was founded by serial entrepreneur Mikkel Eskesen and develops an AI-powered conference and streaming platform that helps organisers capture, structure and activate knowledge from conferences, seminars and events.
Close to both founders and investors
When StreamWerk moved into Founder Hub, the ambition was to become part of an environment with other ambitious founders and gain access to sparring, networks and expertise.
"It has meant a lot for me to be part of Founder Hub because I was looking for a startup environment. That is exactly what has been created here. At the same time, we sit right next to Investor Hub, which has allowed us to meet both SoundInvest and EIFO through the weekly meetings and activities. It has given us the opportunity to strengthen our relationships and get to know each other better," says Mikkel Eskesen.
He points out that it makes a significant difference when investors and founders meet naturally and regularly.
"When you meet on an ongoing basis in a shared environment, you gain a different understanding of each other's businesses, ambitions and ways of working. That means a lot when you later enter into a close collaboration."
An environment where relationships grow
At INCUBA Next Level, Founder Hub and Investor Hub are brought together under one roof. The goal is to create an environment where investors, startups and advisors get to know each other through daily interaction, shared activities and professional events.
For Michael Böwadt, CEO at SoundInvest, the close proximity to both startups and fellow investors is a key part of the value.
"What is truly valuable about Investor Hub is being close to both startups and other investors. We invest internationally and have a strong network outside Denmark, but building a similar network here at home has actually been more challenging. That's why Investor Hub plays an important role for us," he says.
It was also through the INCUBA Next Level environment that SoundInvest gained an even deeper insight into StreamWerk.
"What caught our attention was, first and foremost, a very strong team with highly relevant competencies. At the same time, StreamWerk operates in a market with significant potential, and their expertise within AI and large language models made the company particularly interesting to us," says Michael Böwadt.
He also expects the investment to contribute more than capital.
"We see great potential in the company and look forward to contributing with sparring, network and experience that can help StreamWerk move into its next phase of growth."
Worth its weight in gold for EIFO
For Søren Grønbæk Nielsen, Associate Director at EIFO, there is no doubt about the value of bringing investors and startups together in the same environment.
