Inviro helps public building owners reduce energy consumption
The two founders behind the startup company Inviro are developing a digital tool designed to make it easier and more efficient for public building owners to gain insight into and take action on the energy consumption in their building. For Inviro, it is crucial to develop a tool that is user-friendly and easy for its customers to use. The company’s focus is therefore to develop a solution that integrates data from existing sources such as the energy certification database, the Building and Housing Register (BBR), and works with the most common Building Management Systems (BMS), allowing building managers to quickly gain an overview of the energy status across their entire building portfolio through an interactive dashboard.
Improving the efficiency of building operations is just one of the entrepreneurs’ areas of focus. Inviro is also strongly committed to contributing to a greener world by helping building owners meet the stricter EU requirements, such as the EED and EPBD directives, thereby reducing energy consumption in the buildings. The company’s tool proposes an operational plan that ensures projects are carried out in the most effective order, prioritising those with the greatest need for energy improvements first.

The coming period looks promising for the startup company, as it expects several municipalities to begin testing its energy renovation solution. So far, it has become a test partner for Aarhus Municipality, where it has received a commitment of DKK 250,000 from the Green Investment Fund to further develop its product and create value for the municipality.
The two founders behind Inviro have faced challenges, as the development of their solutions has not progressed as quickly as they had hoped. In response, Jeppe, Co-founder of Inviro, explains:
“We recently brought a developer into the ownership team, which will help add more structure and momentum to our development process. Until now, my co-founder and I have relied on external developers. And naturally, that comes with limitations in terms of budget and managing projects with people outside the core team.“
Inviro joined INCUBA StartupLab in February 2025, and although it has not been part of INCUBA StartupLab at its office at INCUBA Navitas for long, the people behind the company are already happy to be part of a community of experienced people where they can exchange ideas and insights with.
The entrepreneurial journey has been made easier for the two founders after they received the support structures that help the startup company focus on what matters most to them.
“We are really happy to be here, and we feel very comfortable. Not least because of the events that are held, where there is an opportunity to exchange ideas with others in the same situation or pitch for potential investors. It’s just an all-around great professional environment with a focus on growth,” says Jeppe.
In an environment with other startups and companies in the same industry, Inviro can seek advice, access relevant mentorship, and receive support for raising capital, which the company sees as valuable opportunities for the company’s future growth.
