INCUBA Next is ready to open

The new INCUBA Next extension at INCUBA Katrinebjerg has been built with a strong focus on quality and adds 1,200 new workplaces for INCUBA, targeting growth-oriented technology companies, who will also have access to a number of attractive shared facilities such as a roof terrace, lounge areas, bistro, deli and conference rooms.

INCUBA Science Park's new development environment is ready. The construction and urban development company A. Enggaard, together with architects ADEPT and engineers COWI, are behind the construction of the new landmark for the IT city and have handed over the keys to the 18-storey building to INCUBA, which will soon open its doors to its first companies. The handover was celebrated on Wednesday afternoon at a ceremony in the new buildings.

INCUBA Next, as the expansion of INCUBA's existing science park in the Katrinebjerg neighbourhood is called, raises INCUBA's total number of square metres from 13,500 to 35,500 and adds an additional 1,200 office spaces to INCUBA. INCUBA Next is built according to the recognised DGNB Gold standard, and the choice of materials has also prioritised quality solutions beyond the usual for similar buildings.

- ‘With INCUBA Next, we are taking another big step towards continuing to create the optimal framework for growth-oriented technology and software companies. The extension is not just a physical expansion of our capacity, but a strategic investment in the future, where we can offer a fantastic environment and facilities that match companies' ambitions. We are proud of the strong collaboration that has made it possible to create a world-class development environment, which we look forward to welcoming the first companies,’ explains Claus Svane Director of Real Estate, Lettings and Facilities & interim CEO of INCUBA.

A. Enggaard is also delighted with the project, which has been very special according to Jens Skinnebach, Head of Department:

- ‘We are proud to have contributed to one of the country's most innovative science parks with this impressive building. It is a project we will always remember, both because of the excellent collaboration with INCUBA and the great ambitions behind it. It has given us the opportunity to pay attention to every detail and work with materials of the absolute highest quality and, not least, helped ensure the agreed budget and delivery on time,’ says Jens Skinnebach.

The first companies move in in October

The new innovative beacon is customised to house scaleups with international growth potential, software companies and development teams from leading technology giants. The building features a range of attractive communal facilities including roof terraces overlooking the bay, lounge areas, bistro, deli and conference rooms, and a 4,000 square metre underground car park.

The first companies will be moving into the new premises as early as October. These include the software company Kvantify, which is looking forward to becoming part of the innovative environment:

- ‘The ecosystem in INCUBA is really important to us, and we've really enjoyed the close contact with other companies - both those that are in the same place as us and those that are a little further along in the process of growing as a company, and we can learn from them all. That's why I, my co-founders and our employees are looking forward to moving into INCUBA Next's beautiful premises, where we will continue to be part of the software ecosystem working on the technologies of the future, says Nikolaj Zinner, co-founder & CQO of Kvantify

In addition to Kvantify, Partisia, Scalgo, STMicroelectronics and Coana have also announced their arrival. The official opening of INCUBA Next will take place on 21 November at 3 pm, where music, bubbles and a guided tour will take place.
