ClearContract aspires to retire manual contract reviews

The daily routine of a corporate lawyer often entails examining numerous contracts and agreements that companies wish to enter with their partners. These manual reviews, however, often lead to errors and overlooked details, which can end up turning a company’s legal department into a bottleneck. Nevertheless, thanks to the StartupLab-organization ClearContract this issue will soon be history due to its innovative AI-driven technology, that creates a win-win situation for both lawyers and organizations.

Drawing on his background as a corporate lawyer and his rich experience from some of the country’s renowned legal departments, Christian Lambertsen planted the first seed for his game-changing, AI-driven technology in 2022. This seed consequently laid the foundation for the StartupLab-organization ClearContract, which aims to revolutionize contract analysis by identifying missing or deviating clauses within contracts in less than a minute.

According to Christian Lambertsen his product provides both lawyers and organizations with numerous advantages. First, the technology liberates significant time for users, enabling them to redirect their focus towards other crucial tasks instead. Additionally, Christian underscores that his product assists organizations in mitigating their legal risks as well: “When the risk of entering deals with missing clauses or unfavorable conditions decreases, organizations' legal risks diminish, too,” Christian says and explains how this fosters a win-win scenario for both legal practitioners and organizations.

So far, Chrisitan has witnessed an incredibly positive response to his technology and has often been assured of the difference it makes to the organizations who use it.

However, as a solo-founder Christian has had to take on many different roles, managing everything from product development and programming to marketing and bookkeeping. As a result, he has now searched for another co-founder to expand his team. In connection with this, he expresses a heartfelt appreciation for the growing interest in his business: “The fact that other people want to get involved with my great passion is a huge victory itself,” he explains.

According to Christian, the next six months are critical for ClearContract. The first paying customers will be onboarded, and the first employees will be hired. Consequently, he is very grateful to have become part of INCUBA StartupLab, which has been home to the organization since March 2024:

“First of all, I have access to affordable accommodations for 12 months in a fully furnished office, equipped with modern facilities including reception services and meeting rooms. There's simply no better deal available for startups at the moment,” Christian says with a smile on his face.

He further elaborates on the many advantages of his company’s new home "There are nice people who care about your business and want you to succeed. At INCUBA, you can get good advice both from the mentors associated with INCUBA, but also from the other companies you daily meet. Obvious synergies occur when so many companies are gathered under the same roof. And besides, INCUBA is also very professionally run, which is why you as a startup, that has previously had its address at home, suddenly feel much more established.”
